More than 100 Iraqis were killed and wounded when a mortar attack hit an National Guard headquarters north of Baghdad today.

More than 100 Iraqis were killed and wounded when a mortar attack hit an National Guard headquarters north of Baghdad today.

Six mortar rounds fell on Iraqi National Guard offices in an early morning attack in Mashahidan, 25 miles north of the capital, said police.

There was no breakdown of the number of those killed and injured.

US Blackhawk helicopters evacuated all the injured, police said.
