A Pakistani Muslim was jailed for life today for burning a copy of the Koran, an act considered insulting to Islam’s holy book under the country’s blasphemy laws.

A judge in Lahore, ruled that the “prosecution has proved its case” against Mehdi Hasan, said defence lawyer Pervez Chaudhry.
