Car bomb rocks Baghdad
A car bomb exploded in Baghdad’s Jadiriyah district tonight, targeting an Iraqi patrol and causing a number of casualties, the Iraqi Interior Ministry said.
Ministry officials said they were uncertain how many casualties resulted from the blast, which occurred near Ahmed Ourabi Square.
Emergency vehicles were seen rushing toward the area.
Jadiriyah, located on a peninsula in the Tigris river, includes several foreign embassies and corporate offices.
