Three shot dead after car bomb explodes in Mosul

A parked car loaded with explosives blew up as a US convoy was driving by in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul today.

There was no immediate word on casualties from the blast.

US forces opened fire after the explosion, killing three Iraqis in a passing vehicle and injuring a number of others in the city’s Yarmuk neighbourhood, said police.
