Corruption probe Iranian minister impeached

Iran’s parliament impeached Transportation Minister Ahmad Khorram today after legislators accused him of corruption and financial mismanagement.

Of the 258 legislators present, 188 voted in favour of impeaching Khorram, a reformist minister in President Mohammad Khatami’s Cabinet.

Fifty-eight voted in his favour and nine abstained.
