An Israeli helicopter fired a missile at a Palestinian vehicle travelling in the southern Gaza Strip today, killing one person and wounding three others.

The attack targeted a pick-up truck in Abbassam, east of the town of Khan Younis. Officials said the vehicle belonged to a member of the Popular Resistance Committees, which includes several militant groups.

The Israeli military did not comment on the report.

Israel has carried out a number of attacks in the Khan Younis area since a Palestinian mortar attack killed an Israeli woman in the nearby Jewish settlement of Neve Dekalim last Friday.
