Smoke forces emergency landing

A plane carrying more than 200 British holidaymakers was forced to land mid-flight after smoke began pouring from an onboard oven.

Britannia flight BY278B from Rhodes was due to land at Stansted Airport tonight but instead diverted to Brindisi in Italy 40 minutes into the four-hour journey.
