Ivan kills 22 after hit on US south coast
Twenty-two people lay dead and hundreds of homes were in ruins today in the wake of Hurricane Ivan.
The storm slammed into the southern coast of the United States yesterday, tearing apart houses, knocking out power to 1.5 million homes and causing up to €8.2bn damage Among the dead was an eight-year-old girl, killed when a tree fell onto her mobile home in Florida.
