A member of Denmark’s Olympic sailing team has been charged with the manslaughter of a British man who was knocked down in Athens as the sailor was was driving to see his country’s handball team play.

Niklas Holm hit the man, identified as Errol Strachan, on a suburban Athens street last night, police said. Holm was released by a court after being charged with manslaughter and speeding.
