10 dead in mortar attack on bus station

Three mortars hit a commuter bus station in central Baghdad today, killing about 10 people and injuring about 15 others, police Lt. Yasser Fawaz said.

The mortar barrage came just hours after the start of a heavily-secured national conference meant to move Iraq on the road toward democracy.
