President Bush today nominated Florida congressman Porter Goss to head the embattled Central Intelligence Agency, saying the former agent “knows the CIA inside and out”.

President Bush today nominated Florida congressman Porter Goss to head the embattled Central Intelligence Agency, saying the former agent “knows the CIA inside and out”.

“He is well prepared for this mission,” the president said of Goss, the Republican chairman of the House intelligence committee, who was a CIA agent for more than 10 years.
