50 injured in Bangladesh bomb attack
At least 50 people were injured when a bomb exploded in the car park of a hotel in a north-eastern Bangladesh city where the opposition-backed mayor was holding a meeting, witnesses and doctors said.
The attack happened outside the Hotel Gulshan in Sylhet city, Mayor Badaruddin Kamran said in a telephone interview.
“We had just come out after the meeting when the blast occurred,” he said.
The injured where taken to hospitals in the city, 120 miles north east of the capital, Dhaka, he said.
