Soham officer to stand trial

The detective who was liaison officer to the family of Soham murder victim Jessica Chapman will stand trial at the Old Bailey today.

Det Con Brian Stevens is accused of conspiring to pervert the course of justice alongside 32-year-old Louise Austin, an administrator with the Crown Prosecution Service.
