Iraq bomb kills one, wounds six

A roadside bomb exploded early today, killing one US 1st Infantry Division soldier and injuring six others north of the Iraqi capital, a US military spokesman said.

Maj Neal O’Brien, of the 1st Infantry Division, said the soldiers were on patrol in a Bradley fighting vehicle in Duluiyah, 45 miles north of Baghdad, when the bomb detonated shortly after midnight.
