Doubts raised over Blair's future as PM

Tony Blair faced fresh questions over his future tonight as it emerged key Cabinet allies pleaded with him to carry on.

Their intervention came as the British Prime Minister suffered a “long, dark night of the soul” early last month, the BBC said.
