A bus plunged into a mountain gorge in northern India today after it suffered a mechanical fault and went out of control, killing 28 people.

A bus plunged into a mountain gorge in northern India today after it suffered a mechanical fault and went out of control, killing 28 people.

At least 17 others were injured in the accident in Chitai, 150 miles north-east of New Delhi.
