Saddam Hussein has defended the 1990 invasion of Kuwait, saying he invaded Kuwait “for the Iraqi people”.

Saddam Hussein has defended the 1990 invasion of Kuwait, saying he invaded Kuwait “for the Iraqi people”.

Saddam was speaking as he appeared before an Iraqi judge in Baghdad today for an arraignment, which lasted about 30 minutes.
