12 die in horror French bus crash
A bus carrying Moroccans overturned in western France during a storm last night, killing 12 people and seriously injuring 38 others.
The vehicle crashed through a motorway barrier near Liguge, in the Vienne region.
The bus was badly crushed and most victims died on impact.
The bus, heading from Brussels to Tangiers, was carrying about 50 people. Of the injured, three are critical. Officials said 12 people died.
The accident occurred during torrential rain after a large truck passed by.
The resulting rush of air caused a baggage trailer the bus was pulling to tip over, dragging the entire vehicle along with it over a crash barrier.
