Hungarian soldier dies in Iraq

A Hungarian soldier was killed in an attack on a convoy south of Baghdad today, becoming the nation’s first military death in Iraq.

The soldier, part of a transport contingent of 300 Hungarian troops serving in Iraq, died when a roadside mine exploded as a convoy carrying water passed by.
