Fighters assassinate Iraqi oil boss

Attackers killed the top security official for the state-run Northern Oil company today, in the latest of a string of assassinations on Iraqi leaders.

Ghazi Talabani was killed as he travelled to work in the oil-rich city of Kirkuk, said General Anwar Amin from Iraqi Civil Defence Corps.
