Convoy attack kills contractors in Iraq

Gunmen opened fire on a three vehicle convoy of contractors working for the coalition near Baghdad today, killing some of them, a US military spokesman said.

They attacked from a road overpass west of the Iraqi capital, disabling two of the vehicles and killing an unknown number of people, said deputy operations chief Brigadier General Mark Kimmitt.
