Kurds threaten to quit new Iraqi government

Iraq’s two main Kurdish parties warned today they might leave the new government if the Shiite majority gains too much power.

Kurdish fears rose after the Americans and British turned down their request to have a reference to the interim constitution included in the UN resolution approved last night.
