Study highlights child obesity dangers

Obese children are at a greater risk of developing diabetes and heart disease at an earlier age than was previously thought, according to a study out today.

Researchers at Yale University found that about half of overweight children and adolescents had a combination of health conditions called “metabolic syndrome”.
