The House of Commons was suspended during Prime Minister's Question Time after purple powder was thrown from the public gallery, hitting Tony Blair on the back.

The House of Commons was suspended during British Prime Minister's Question Time after purple powder was thrown from the public gallery, hitting Tony Blair on the back.

Mr Blair was in the middle of answering a question from the leader of the British opposition Michael Howard when he was struck by the powder.
