Court upholds Carr identity injunction

The High Court in London today continued an injunction banning solicitation of information about the proposed identity and whereabouts of Maxine Carr.

The news came after the media launched a legal challenge to an injunction which cast a shroud of secrecy over Carr’s future.

The appeal was brought today by News Group Newspapers and MGN.

Mr Justice Eady said it was “necessary and proportionate” to make the order pending a full two-day hearing of the issues as soon as possible after June 8.
