Israeli warplanes raided a suspected Hezbollah hideout in southern Lebanon today, shortly after guerillas had fired at jets that violated the country’s air space.

Officials in southern Lebanon said two Israeli fighter jets fired at least one missile at a valley near the village of Zibqine, south-east of the port city of Tyre.
