At least five women were crushed to death and dozens were injured today when a false fire alarm caused 4,000 people to rush for the exits of a clothing factory in Bangladesh.

At least five women were crushed to death and dozens were injured today when a false fire alarm caused 4,000 people to rush for the exits of a clothing factory in Bangladesh.

An electric transformer exploded outside the six storey building in northern Dhaka, spreading panic among the workers, most of them young women, a police official said.
