Saddam's men to come in from the cold

The US is to bring members of Saddam Hussein’s disbanded Baath party in from the cold – allowing thousands of former army officers and teachers back in their jobs.

It is a major change of a policy that some Iraqi leaders called a mistake from the start and had fuelled the anti-US insurgency.
