Three Basra car bombs kill up to 40

Car bombs exploded at three police stations in the British-controlled city of Basra today, killing many Iraqis.

The blasts went off in the southern Iraqi city at about 4.30am Irish time, according to a Ministry of Defence spokeswoman.
