US issues new Saudi warning

The US State Department is considering a withdrawal of non-essential US diplomats and family members from Saudi Arabia because of “credible indications of terrorist threats” aimed at Americans in that country, it announced tonight.

The US Embassy in Saudi Arabia, in a message sent on Wednesday to American citizens in the country and posted tonight on the embassy’s Web site, said the US government “continues to receive credible indications of terrorist threats aimed at American and Western interests in Saudi Arabia”.
