Chatsworth art treasures tour America
A remarkable collection of art and historical objects dating to Elizabethan England has begun a tour of the United States.
The collection is a 500-year chronicle of Chatsworth country estate. Among the Cavendish family treasures are King Henry VIII’s rosary, a letter from Queen Elizabeth I, Old Master drawings by Rembrandt, Rubens and Titian, John Smith’s 17th-century map of Virginia and bejewelled tiaras.
