Berlusconi gets by on €13m a year

Prime Minister and media mogul Silvio Berlusconi – who is also Italy’s wealthiest man – earned €12.9m in 2002, according to an MPs income list, published today.

Berlusconi owns a business empire that includes property and insurance companies, a football team and extensive media interests. He earns much of his income through advertising revenue from the three national TV channels he owns.
