French police carry out raids in Morocco terror probe

French police conducted a raid today in suburban Paris in search of suspects allegedly connected to a series of terrorist attacks in Morocco last year.

DST, France’s domestic security agency, executed the raid on the orders of French anti-terrorism police in the suburb of Sein-Saint-Denis, police said.

Europe-1 radio said several arrests were made.

The operation was launched in connection with a series of near simultaneous bombings in Casablanca on May 16 which killed 33 people and 12 suicide bombers.

Police said they have uncovered no evidence linking the suspects in France to the rail bombings in Madrid on March 11 that killed at least 191 people.
