Soham house razed to the ground
The house where Ian Huntley murdered schoolgirls Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman was destroyed in 35 minutes today.
A giant demolition machine began to demolish the two-storey property in Soham, Cambridgeshire, at 7.55am.
By 8.30am the last section of roof had been demolished.
The operation was carried out by one man operating the demolition machine behind a high corrugated fence more than 18 months after Holly and Jessica were murdered.
Journalists watched from elevated platforms as the three-bedroom property was reduced to rubble.
Police, officials from Cambridgeshire County Council and security staff stood in silence as the house was destroyed.
