Mother of crack toddler surrenders
The mother of a four-year-old boy who took over €8,000 worth of crack cocaine to his nursery school has surrendered, but police were still seeking the boy’s father today.
Andrea Jackson, 23, turned herself in to police in Indianapolis last night
Earlier in the day, prosecutors filed charges of dealing and possession of cocaine, neglect of a dependent and possession of marijuana against Jackson and the boy’s father, Kenneth Green, 24.
Prosecutors filed the charges three days after the boy took a bag of crack cocaine in his book bag to the nursery.
Police who later searched the couple’s home said they found a handgun and rifle rounds, shotgun shells and a bullet-proof vest, scales and some suspected marijuana.
The children, an infant and siblings aged four, six and seven, are now in care.
