Tony Blair today extended the hand of friendship to Libyan leader Colonel Muammar Gaddafi, the man once dubbed a ‘Mad Dog’ by US President Ronald Reagan.

Tony Blair today extended the hand of friendship to Libyan leader Colonel Muammar Gaddafi, the man once dubbed a ‘Mad Dog’ by US President Ronald Reagan.

The historic meeting took place in a tent near the capital Tripoli.

A smiling Tony Blair shook hands with Col Gaddafi then sat beside him for the talks.

Mr Blair told the Libyan leader: “It’s good to be here at last.”
