Hamas targets Sharon for assassination

Hamas wants to assassinate Prime Minister Ariel Sharon in retaliation for Israel’s killing of the Islamic group’s spiritual leader.

Khaled Mashaal, the Damascus-based Hamas leader, said the group’s military wing would have to see whether its capabilities would allow it to kill Sharon.
