Lull in fighting, but search for al-Qaida chief continues

Pakistani forces were searching homes amid a lull in fierce fighting against suspected al-Qaida hideouts near the Afghan border today.

The military believes a “high-value” target is in the besieged area in South Waziristan, but are uncertain if it is Osama bin Laden’s Egyptian deputy, Ayman al-Zawahri, or another terrorist.
