Astronomers view earliest galaxies

Astronomers have peered deeper into the depths of the universe than ever before to obtain a startling view of the earliest galaxies, it emerged today.

The stars in the image include the first to light up the cosmos after the so-called “dark ages” that followed the Big Bang at the dawn of creation.
