The risk Soham killer Ian Huntley posed to young women would have been spotted if links had been made between allegations of underage sex against him, a key social worker admitted today.

But Phil Watters, who helped investigate three of the allegations, said he made no connection, despite the cases coming within the space of a month of each other.
