Gay Bishop takes over as head of diocese

The Anglican Communion’s first openly gay bishop has officially taken over his new diocese in the US.

With three mighty thumps on the church door, Gene Robinson knocked and was welcomed into St Paul’s sanctuary in Concord, New Hampshire, yesterday.
