US 'suspends French meat imports'

The United States is suspending imports of French meat such as cold cuts and foie gras because of food safety concerns, France’s agriculture ministry says.

In a statement, the ministry said US veterinary experts who inspected sites in France said they did not conform to US food safety requirements.
