Morocco earthquake kills nine

A powerful earthquake struck northern Morocco today, killing at least nine people and injuring about 40 others.

The victims from the temblor, which struck at about 2.30am were in rural villages near the coastal city of Al-Hoceima, the MAP agency reported.
