US 'should also give up nuclear weapons'

The head of the UN nuclear agency said today that he shared President George Bush’s “sense of urgency” over the need to stop the illegal traffic of material that could be used to build nuclear weapons.

But Mohamed ElBaradei, the director-general of the International Atomic Energy Agency, also called on the United States to give up its nuclear weapons.
