Woman charged with Nazi-era murder
An 88-year-old woman medical professor has been charged with murdering a mentally ill patient in 1941, which came during a Nazi drive to kill institutional patients, a German prosecutor said today.
Rosemarie Albrecht, who after the Second World War lectured at a university in the eastern German town of Jena, faces life in prison if she is convicted of killing the patient with an overdose of sleeping pills.
