US soldiers die in blast

Two US soldiers were killed and six wounded today during a blast that took place as troops were trying to dispose of explosives, a US officer said.

The explosion happened at Sinjar, near Mosul, Brigadier General Mark Kimmitt said. Kimmitt said the blast appeared due to an accident and not hostile action.
