Bomb prank student released on bail

A British student arrested in the United States after joking that she had bombs in her aircraft baggage, has been released from jail on bail, authorities said.

According to her arrest report, Samantha Maroon, 21, placed her carry-on bag on the belt at a security check, telling a Transportation Security Administration screener: “Hey be careful, I have three bombs in here,” Miami-Dade police Officer Alan Trivett said.
