Gunmen shoot eight in Brooklyn diner

Two gunmen opened fire in a New York diner today, wounding eight people before pistol-whipping a customer and fleeing with cash and jewellery, police said.

The two men had been sitting in the Galaxy Diner in Brooklyn at about 5:15am when they got up and started shooting, police and witnesses said.
