Boy in court charged with jogger's stabbing

A 15-year-old boy appeared in court today charged with attempting to stab a woman jogger to death.

The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, spoke only to confirm his name at Highbury Corner Youth Court, north London, UK, and was remanded in custody to reappear there on January 20.

His family was not at the court.

The 39-year-old woman jogger was repeatedly stabbed in Clissold Park, Stoke Newington, north London, on December 5 last year.

Her life was saved by a woman doctor who happened to be walking nearby.
