Man killed by Wembley scaffold collapse
One man has been killed and another injured after scaffolding apparently collapsed at the Wembley Stadium building site.
The first man was pronounced dead at the site in north west London by a doctor and the second was taken to Central Middlesex Hospital by ambulance with leg injuries.
A London Ambulance Service spokesman said two ambulances, a rapid response car and an air ambulance were sent to the scene after receiving a call at about 8.25am.
Two inspectors from Britain's Health and Safety Executive were sent to investigate the cause of the accident, a spokesman said.
